Something Of Yr Presence Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Something Of Yr Presence

Rating: 5.0

I was at the same spot
Where we used to sit on the beach
There was not a soul to be found
And the waves are the only thing
That given me some solace
However, my mind has succumbed to the solitude
And a flood of weeping is released
I wait there every day for yr return
As I am the solitary figure who
Stands in this desolate wintry place
Looking towards the sea
I wait for something of yr presence
But I don't feel anything
Just the memory of yr touch beside me
And the cold wind through
My hot tears on my cheeks
