Something Precious Poem by Bill Galvin

Something Precious

a long while ago,
He showed me the way
to find and hold that heart of Gold;
the one with the Silvery laugh
and the Priceless smile.

then, as it must, came the ending;
and i thought about the shorter road;
i didn’t want to be here alone.
but, psst, i heard Her whispering,
“lighten up the heavy load…
you should take the long way home”.

and now it seems He’s showing me
perfect Pearls coming from the sea;
Angels who care and are helping me
along my path toward recovery,
and Life with a lot more certainty…

Precious is a Life with good Friends and good Memories!
