Something Worth Getting Poem by Paul Reason

Something Worth Getting

Rating: 4.5

There is a season of life for everyone they might seem different but they are the same one. The one you knew and grew to love even though away from you he might seem to shove. Fear not, he has not turned his back, he is just in a jungle through which he must hack. No one can help him through this stage, this season is full of anger and rage. He knows his mistakes he now must face, and that he keeps you away is by his grace. This season is not one he takes joy in, all the things he finds himself enthralled in. He is fighting a war deep in his soul, to conquer himself is his only goal. To destroy the thing he used to be, to conquer the monster in himself that he sees. The raging roaring unstoppable dragon, he fights day and night to contain and destroy him.
But this job is an unsurmountable task, he is dying because of it until at last. He remembers the teaching of a long lost sermon, to find a cure don't go to the vermin. There is only one who can win this fight. Him? No but he will keep going till he sees the light. There is a warrior who can win at this fight, but his fee of service is your life. But the reward he gives is life forevermore, and he will lead you to calmer shores. you have one dog in this fight, to do what you've always known to be right Surrender, to Jesus for he will guide you, he will win the fight and be there for you. And just as the young man of my story, Christ will make you anew for his glory. There is no demon from deep in your past, that under Christ's fire dare stands a chance.
The battle is won, but the war is not done. Never give up hope in the one, who made me and made you for his Glory, and has to tell in you an beautiful story. Praise God Almighty I got that out, I've been holding it in so long I now want to shout! Get up off your But and quit regretting! Go out for God and get something worth getting!
