Sometimes In April Poem by Orlando Vutete

Sometimes In April

Sometimes in April you were born
With infantile wails mingling with the rustling sound
of shedding zebrawood leaves getting torn
Apart by the foot of a two year old bound
To meet you seventeen years later and call you his love
There happens to be a trace of something destined
Something orchestrated by the ones from above
Is it coincidence? No, Is the answer to what I've questioned
because Sometimes in April you'll celebrate your day
and the next dawn I'll celebrate mine too
But even after that I'll still celebrate you
