Sometimes, my life seems changed a lot,
And looks like that of Bible’s Job!
Most people ’round me seem to plot,
And I am made to almost sob.
Sometimes, like Moses’ in desert,
In scorching sun and waterless!
With crest-fallen, a mind and heart
Dejected, I trudge on aimless.
Sometimes, like Saul upon the road
To Damascus, I gallop fast;
The Holy Spirit seems to goad
Me righteously, despite my past!
Sometimes, I feel I’m all alone,
With just my God for me as friend;
Nothing can I do on my own,
But God is there to well defend!
My achievements are mountain-like;
My life has been miraculous;
Life’s journey reaches its last lap;
I feel my God is very near!
