Sometimes There's Color Poem by The Poet Darkling

Sometimes There's Color

I go through each day the same old way
And it's all black and white to me
The same old faces, the same old places
And nothing different do I see

But sometimes there's color, I'll turn and there you'll be
Sometimes there's color, you never really do leave me

Nothing ever changes, there's no turning pages
And you feel so far from me
The same plain things no happiness brings
And it's really faded me

But sometimes there's color, you come and rescue me
Sometimes there's color, you set the rainbow free

Colors were so few, I longed for something new
Someone to show some color to me
Was such a surprise when I looked in your eyes
And saw color there aplenty

Now there's always color in everything around me
There's lots of color, you returned the color to me
