Song Of Mourning Poem by Josiah Vincent

Song Of Mourning

Rating: 4.2

This trouble
Is bigger than my mouth,
How shall I say it?
How shall I say that the evil visitor
Knocked at your door?
What path trod it
To arrive at your door?

It is over!
The suffering is over!
The writhing and panting
Like overfed lizards,
The chafing and contrition,
Like pepper on the grinding stone.
It is over!
The enemy holds sway,
And all must grovel before it.
It is over!
Fire has burned us.
Let us hug our grief
As the last breath is drawn.

Fire has burned us. Let us hug our grief As the last breath is drawn.life is positive..... our poetic virtue is that we spread every where positive thoughts even in the midst of terrible sadness. .. because a poetic heart belongs to God. thank u dear poet.. tony
