O Spring, My Spring
You must be a little kind
To this lonely man and its poetic mind
He hath woven many a song in thy praise
With much wit and flair and not with any rage
O Spring, My Spring
You must stay here long
To soothe my heart and sing me a song
About riots of colors that spread across lands
About lovelorn birds in the sky chasing their friends
O Spring, My Spring
On your way to my land
Hath not you witness the fiery band
The wind along with sprouting leaves play
To lend pleasure to weary hearts through the day
O Spring, My Spring
Please don't hurry away
This time a little longer you must stay
Perching on the rooftop the cuckoo will sing
The finest of song of love playing music with its wings
O Spring, My Spring
A lovely poem. I like the way you use imagery in this poem. I can see where you are as a poet. I like the rhyming lines at the end of each line and get the emotion of loving spring and how it brings hope to all of us about life getting into a new phase of growth. You merge the metaphor of the continuity of time well through the observations of the wind as a fiery band.
Thanks for appreciation. It is the season that brings freshness to the nature and peace to to the mind as the earth begins to don a new cloth of green. Honored.
