We praise the greatness of Yangtze
Sadly her happiness has lost its source
We sing the song of Yangtze
Silently her throat is full of blocks
We feel deeply attached to Yangtze
Her bosom is much like cracked dry earth
O! Yangtze
A long dragon of the orient is shedding tears
Of the orient
Each of her teardrops speaks
Of confidence, dignity and carefree

Song of a mighty river of China being poisoned by so called progress that pulls at it's dignity and confidence making it into a river of tears! ! Powerful and great write!
Thank you, Hazel. The communists' philosophy since Mao has been the endless of happiness comes from the fight against God, against nature, and against people - very sad.

A powerful and poignant write. Man is a great destroyer of nature. Liked the closure lines. Very touching.
