Yellow River 2.0 Poem by Yiyan Han

Yellow River 2.0

Rating: 5.0

Wind's raging
Horses neighing
Yellow River's quite
Elegant
Soft
And has forgotten to roar
Forgotten to roar
She smiles
And stopped screaming
Stopped screaming

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Silent mass like the quite clear Yellow River as shown in the bottom photo in the image file (but the river used to roar as shown in the top photo) . Hence it's the version 2.0, a long sigh.

The beauty of the river but it's ugly silence is a sad reflection on society as we have become silent witnesses of evil and corruption! Superb write!

Thanks, Hazel. Yellow River is said to be China's mother river. During the WWII, there was a powerful choir titled Defend the Yellow River which begins - Wind's raging Horses neighing Yellow River's roaring ......
