Song: When We Come To Take You Away

Rating: 5.0

So what will you do, when we come for you?
How will you keep us at bay?
We think it's best, you make no protest,
When we come to take you away!

So what will you do? What will you say?
When we turn the dark night into permanent day.
Say something trite, then flee from the light,
When we come to take you away!

On January six, when you brandished your sticks,
And threatened to take down the Veep.
With a scaffold erected. and due process rejected,
You sold out your freedoms too cheap.

How will you react, when you know it's a fact;
When the courts won't grant you a stay.
When accused of foul treason, and your lies lack adhesion,
What route will you run from the fray?

On January six, when you claimed all a fix,
You rode the wild whirlwind to reap,
The seeds that were sowed to the entitled in code,
That you were the people who'd sweep

The results of an election, in a stunning projection;
Your strange disaffection, a leap.
In a blind act of faith, to your odd orange wraith,
Who now has abandoned his sheep.

So will you succumb, or will you plead dumb?
Your intent was not to betray.
By what rule of thumb should your motives be plumbed?
When we come to take you away.

So what will you do, when we come for you;
Will you fall to your knees and pray?
Will you pine for exemption as a kind of redemption,
When we come to take you away?
When we come to take you away!
