Donall, my heart is made to rejoice every time I read these poems, for the true dedication is not to Scarlett, but to Allegra, one of the most fantastic ladies you could ever know. My mom truly sang the songs for me, gave me my independent spirit, taught me all of life's great lessons, and showed me how to be strong. She and my Da were married forever it seemed, and when he died, she never remarried, for she said, 'He was my own true love...' She set the example for me of how to have a joyful spirit, and for that lesson, I will be forever grateful. What a lady she was, and how I miss those beautiful blue 'Irish Eyes, ' but I am truly her 'forever' child. Thank you, my dearest friend, for this beautiful tribute to my Irish Lassie.
