Sonnet 11 Poem by Octavian Cocos

Sonnet 11

There are some guys who think they have a goal
To find the secrets of this world some day,
That's why they strive to play their earthly role
To make tomorrow better than today.
They break the atom into bits and chips
And search the heavens with their active mind
They even go to Space in shining ships,
But the divine first cause they still can't find.
They dive into the oceans and deep seas
And climb on every ridge and snowy peak
They search through bushes and among the trees,
But their hearts are very sad and bleak.
Then comes the Death and lifts their souls above
And thus they lose the secrets of true love.

Well conceived and nicely brought forth in verse with rhythmic splendour...
