Sonnet: 3 –the Life I Live. Poem by Amitava Sur

Sonnet: 3 –the Life I Live.

Sonnet: 3 –The life I live.
=========================
The life what I like to live -
Oh’ Lord – why it eludes me,
And what I just hate to believe
Why am I forced to live with it.
I prayed them over and over again,
For Simplicity, love and a little peace.
But why they all turned their face –
Moves opposite, again and again.
I fought a long long way fostering them -
But I broke my hands and knees with a broken heart apiece.
Searching for wisdom and fighting the odds -
The life has almost arrived at end.
Oh’ Lord You show me the path with blessings from Thee-
So to have the end with a solace and peace.

Truly provocative poem, it makes you wonder why you even search for peace, Amitava. Very good poem, I like it. Thank you for getting me to think beyond the box. RoseAnn

Wanting to live life the way we want to never seems to happen, it eludes us at every turn. We end up living a life we don't want, breaking our spirits and leaving us wondering why there is no peace to be found. Simple lives are just not given out freely, all the wisdom and learning we gather throughout life does not bring us any closer to finding our way to peaceful serenity. At the end of our lives we still have no answers to complete our inner desires.

With this solemnly written poem you have the ultimate peace Amitava. Peace can only come from within then it will show itself outwards. So will love and simplicity. Regards.
