Sonnet Xiv Poem by M. Asim Nehal

Sonnet Xiv

Rating: 5.0

With open heart, listen to the plea of nature;
her voice echoing through the wind and sea,
for life on earth is but a fleeting feature
and must be cherished with all ecstasy,
amidst the beauty of this earthly plane
we sometimes forget the truth that lies-
for our existence, too, shall end in pain
just like the sun sets and the moon will rise,
nature whispers, our time here is finite,
and like the leaves, we all must fall and fade
so let us make the most of every sight
before we join the earth in peaceful shade
for though our lives may seem eternal now
In truth, it's just a moment in time's flow.
