Sorrow Poem by johanna damon

Sorrow

there is a girl you see everyday she stares at you with dead black eyes and yet you pass her by
one day her eyes will be grey and truly dead you will see it and say but i saw her everyday
and cry when you see the scars that mar her body
then the final wounds that will never scar
How? Why? youll say as hot tears stream down your face then her words will hit you like she is right there with you
i was there why didnt you see
my hurt
my pain
my tears
my loneliness
my aching for you
my sorrow
as you scream and weep and say that was my daughter
