Spare Him Poem by Onuora ilodibe

Spare Him

Hey spare a minute
Listen to this gipsy
From broke down city
My dad past as a kiddy
We had nothing so I'd to kick it
Mom gave me bounty but blessing
The city broached me
Thought me enough lessons
People who knew me
Thought I was gone crazy
In the heart of a cold city
Slept with dogs in the dirt
Did chores for a penny
Wonder where this will take me
From a long burn cone
To lone cell in the prison
But still can't break my spirit
Until God said his finished
Am a piece of art he designed
To do what he desires
salved my eyes made me see
All the plans he has for me
From peril he spared my soul
A dying wretch absent his love
Will do you what he did for me
Only if you can spare him
Some of your precious time
