Special Treat Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Special Treat

Ripe for the picking
beautiful and unwrinkled
Coaxed into releasing juices
with sweet sugar sprinkled

Could be berries, plums, or
peaches… that are so inviting
in the prime of the season…
brought to a boil… it's exciting

Cooled to a devine jam
Spread upon a fresh baked
biscuit… oh so delicious
soothing a craving ache
