Spectator Sports Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Spectator Sports

Rating: 5.0

Millions of people enjoy spectator sports
Basketball, baseball, football and all sorts
The players are admired for their abilities
Teamwork is polished, increasing possibilities

Stadiums are packed to maximum capacity
Tickets are rapidly sold to view superb agility
Loud cheers of approval rise above the crowd…
Supporting a winning team makes the fans proud

The pressure to be outstanding is very great
What can be done to improve the odds of fate?
Training hard everyday earns a superior rating
The best athletes have salaries that are inflating

Some who are on the path to the Hall of Fame
Are offering reporters statements that disclaim
Denying that they used enhancing steroids at all…
Fans are saddened as a super hero drops the ball

I'm a big sports fan so I can relate. It's on point with the reality. I like it. Nice work.
