Spending Time - Poem by madeline morris

Can I live on it,
The sum I borrow?
Enough of it,
Will numb the sorrow.
To aid the healing,
I need a certain amount,
Put it on my time account.
You cannot buy it in the sale,
It is valued and precious,
It all tells a tale.
Every one wants it,
From simplest cell,
How much you have,
You never can tell.
You can use it,
Just watch the clocks,
It's not in abundance,
It eventually stops.
Your time supply,
Will eventuall run dry.
Use it wisely,
be careful how you spend it,
When your clock finally breaks,
You cannot mend it.
