Spirit Dog Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Spirit Dog

Spirit Dog

Was that your dog
I saw last night
She was frightened
At Golden Gate
Couldn't open
So scared to death

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
KEROUAC LIVES series. Although Kerouac was a self-proclaimed 'cat lover', he also had an affinity with dogs. Remember reading about him meditating in a field surrounded by all kinds of dogs.
