I love you Auntie Mel
Since you left, I have been through hell.
I loved to come round and see you
I cared about you and I know you felt the same way too.

I know that you had a tough time
You had your own problems, but took the time to listen to mine.
I remember the night you and Mum fell out
She told me that we could no longer hang about.

But I ignored her and we tried to keep in contact
I knew I could trust you and that's a fact.
You helped me through when I lost my baby
If I had been there for you, I could have saved you maybe?

You told me you had met the man of your dreams
But he was another man who wasn't quite as he seemed.
He was a bloke who liked to drink
Would get angry, violent and didn't think.

My brother told me you called for me a week before you died
But Mum wouldn't give you my new number, no matter how hard you tried.
WHen I heard that you died it was a complete shock
I didn't know what to do, you was my rock.

I wasn't told of your funeral so didn't get a chance to say good-bye
Sometimes I think of you and it makes me cry.
I pray that you are now resting in peace
And I know my love for you will never cease.

I know you and my baby are now safe together
And although we're apart, it won't be forever.
Please don't ever forget me
There is a special place in my heart where you will always be.

I feel like I have let you down
That somehow it's my fault you're now wearing your angel gown.
I wish that I could have done more
To save you and stop your blood pour.

I hope that we shall be re-united one day
And that you won't turn your back and walk the other way.
I can't believe that you are no longer here
But I know your spirit is always near.


Auntie Mel, please take good care of my Baby Angel until I can join you both one day. I just want you to know how much I really love and miss you. The one thing I miss the most is having someone there to talk to when things go wrong but I know when I am sitting quietly in my room looking out at the sky above that you can hear me and doing all that you can to keep me safe. Love you loads xxxx
