Split Milk Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Split Milk

Rating: 5.0

Offered no anger
No reaction
No response
As it was nonsense

Little altercation
End of relation
No terms
Bad turn

Greed
There was no need
Failed to heed
Could not read

I pondered
But not offered
Any solution
Big mark with question

No one
Except them
May regret
And curse the fate

Think twice
Before you promise
Or air the words
That has drawbacks

Speak nothing
That spoils everything
Like little drop in milk
May turn whole into split milk

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Split milk... Dr. Joseph W. Schnapp, Jr.21 minutes ago Interesting but largely obscured message that I found hard to divine... Four line stanzas then inexplicably dropped to three in last stanza... Style-wise the author could have kept four-line stanzas then added the last separately (as he did!) which would have set-the-hook in the fish so-to-speak! Good effort, three (3) stars this day as written!
