Spring Awakens
As spring approaches, snowdrops show themselves
And bulbs appear from underground
Filling the heart with joy
Opening the way forward towards crocus and daffodil
Bluebells begin their trip to the woodland floor
Only leaves for now, until May wakes the flowers
Annual colour below grey skies
Rising to greet a coming sun
Warming days become more frequent
And spring is not too far away
