Spring's Flower Poem by Leslie Alexis

Spring's Flower

I've seen her when she was bare
And walked by without care

But now that she's clothed
My heart's pierced with a sword

Of desire. My eyes want no compromise,
My hands want her earthen thighs

To warm their curious fingers;
Covered the heat lingers

Like stars of cloudless summer night
That merge to the sun of morning light

Stirring the fuels of succulent fruits
Filling the air with the sweet that I pursue

To satisfy my natural desires
To gather the oil that feeds my fire

Or that which serves as my panacea
Making what was cloudy clear

As my desire to have her
My beautiful springtime flower.
