Standing In The Middle Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

Standing In The Middle

I stand in the middle,
In the middle,
Where there is no path,
And the walls are too high.
Yet love's sweet melody
Bades me smile...
But how does one smile
When standing in the middle,
In the middle, of broken dreams
And the debris of shattered realities?
