Standing Still. Poem by Kim Dang

Standing Still.

Conditionally tragic lacking animus
A fickle soul, barring lascivious
creeds.
What are we really feeding
And for imagined gaps, are they gaping holes?
Is your reality that emotional?

We're all independent strange worlds.
Sometimes compatible, undoubtedly comical.
Bringing uninhibited smiles to each confusion.
Tugging harder than expected on my heartstrings.

Electronic tainted voices give more surrealism
titrating what solutions with these options
I try not to divulge in them too often
Let's bury them deep in forgettable time coffins.

T.o.m disarms me with his redness
Coaxing out the bed-ridden
The vegetable state of convenience
when I have none.
Teasing me with prospects of resting.

Conjure more surface tension to each lash
Let them fall on my cheeks, unabashed
tears.
They are easy.
They are worthless in free fall
Which, in this silence, is the best part of it all.
