J-ust start the day in jest,
H-ave a morning so joyous;
O-ne dawn that gladly breaks,
M-aking mood so frivolous.
A-llow the day to start in jest,
R-ight after the cold dark night;
I-n sunny sixteenth September,
E-arly laughter brings pure delight.

C-ome and start the day in jest,
O-pening your heart to the thrill;
N-ew light shines in the sky,
R-ed rays are reflecting at will.
A-im to wake up from bed,
D-riving to begin in zest;
E-ven though life isn't worry-free,
S-mile and start the day in jest.
