Starter Plant Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Starter Plant

I don't regret you or any of the things
That we've experienced.
The seed that I planted in your heart
Has grown too large and nothing else can be placed
There, like at all.
It has gone unattended & there is a lot of work
To be done before something new can come in.
I left it there as a reminder for the days
You could not find your ray of sun.
Now that it has grown it is time to move
It outside and plant a new seed.
Maybe one that you can pick out and tend to
Yourself without fear.
If you don't do it yourself you'll never learn
Or appreciate the amount of peace
Working on yourself can bring
