State Of Mind

I am coming home soon
Home where speeches are soundless
intonation is an emotion

Home where streets are paved with verbs
A house being a home only as a metaphor
Trees existing because it is said in a verse
because it is written

People having no voice boxes
but they speak so loudly the whole world hears them by reading
Harmony is a marriage of consonants
disharmony of inconvenience

Rhymes are out of sync with the times
only useful to those who have ears but cannot hear
they can feel what they cannot touch
their blind eyes not seeing any visions even after revisions

This is the home I am coming to
so do not cry for me
Do not pretend you missed me

I am coming home
a home of poetry
A home I had been banished from
by my thoughts
My state of mind.
