Still Not Knowing Quite What To Think Of You. Poem by William Jackson

Still Not Knowing Quite What To Think Of You.

Rating: 5.0

I only wish
you had killed me.
Having broken my heart,
you left me to die in sorrows' fields.
And words cannot express
the depths of my pain.
Head in my hands,
my mind reels even now.
And I don't suppose
I'll ever completely recover,
still not knowing quite
what to think of you.

An eloquent, moving and accomplished poem... perhaps we are all mystified, being left behind. So much is taken away, so much is left unsaid, unanswered. This is a cry from the heart. - Will

Such a sad poem, so elegantly written. 'To die in sorrow's fields' is superb. Warmly, Alison

'killing you softly'.....better to do it all at once, I think. Tender and touching piece, Will. We've all been there before, and understand your pain. Linda
