Still To Inspire Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Still To Inspire

Still to inspire

I often said
Without your aid
I shall be zero
But can prove as hero

I wanted freedom
And use wisdom
For my skill
As an art will efforts to fill

Had I married at that stage?
I should have deceived an age
So I politely turned down
And made my wish known

She was perfect woman
Any person would have liked as person
She was not only beautiful
But kind and human too

So I make her cheerful
To smile her look wonderful
If I could not get her
She was ready still to inspire
