Stillness Poem by Jeff Taylor

Stillness

Rating: 3.5

Light,
Only light itself,
Only on the stillest of nights
Knows the ground.

Beyond what it is that first appears
Eternity becoming aware.
You do best to recognize
Oneness in the living wheel.
Not one creature escapes
Deaths embrace.

To go into the inky sky,
Higher than the highest high.
Evidence, evidently.

See all there is to see,
Take in the fresh air.
All that remains must be.
Realize, then you are aware.
Stars, stillness, stare.

I go out late at night whenever possible, and the same feelings occur to me. I hope you are feeling better buddy
