Stockmarket Slump Poem by Jonathan ROBIN

Stockmarket Slump

STOCKMARKET SLUMP
Rally dead,
gilt tarnished off the gingerbread,
outlook dread,
bets hedged, time bears were fortunes fed.

23 March 1975 revised 9 July 2021

for previous version see below

With rally dead,
the gilt is off the gingerbread,
the outlook's dread, -
its time the bears were fortunes fed.
