Stolen Childhoods: Child Soldiers Poem by Terence George Craddock

Stolen Childhoods: Child Soldiers

there are places
where small children
carry heavy automatic rifles
mind physically enslaved
fight as child soldiers
die as child soldiers...

forced to kill as child soldiers
taught to murder as child soldiers
taught to torture as cruel child soldiers
addicted to drugs to kill with indifference
their horror plight does not make western news
their lives are lived in forgotten war forsaken places...
