Stop Violence Against Woman Poem by Kishore Kumar Das

Stop Violence Against Woman

Earth has been designed
to live in harmony;
differences do exist
conflicts do occur
prejudice too happens
anger can't be uprooted
jealousy prevails by default
hatred remains as a by-product
but......
when one thinks of woman
woman, the creator
of civilization
of everybody
her role unforgettable
her dignity beyond any question
her sacrifice inexplicable
in sustaining the human race
from womb to tomb
her love most sought after
her place so sacred
we all shall vanish one day....
but nobody can share
the debt of her care
as long as we are alive
let us promote peace in the society
and consider our statutory duty
to stop violence against woman
to stop atrocity against woman
to stop torturing woman
and make the earth safe for woman
earth shall flourish
if women are safe
mankind shall prosper
with the dignity of women.

Woman is the creator of civilization and her role is unforgettable. Her sacrifice is inexplicable. We must stop violence and torture against her. Dear sir, you have so nicely and touchingly inscribed this poem in favour of woman on occasion of International Women's Day. This poem may come to POD. Thanks.
