I started as the senior lawyer on the 'Dream Team'
although Johnnie Cochran took the chair from me.
I gave Mr. Simpson moral support from the get-go.
I was there for him when he flew back from Chicago
on Monday. I lied to reporters that he was home
waiting for a flight when the murders took place.
In the trial, I asked Detective Phil Vannatter
why the blood being tested was taken from Parker Center
out to Rockingham. Vannatter gave hesitant answers.
The forensics man was supposed to analyze blood
only at the laboratory, thus I sowed seeds of doubt.
Nevertheless, when theverdict came in,
I did not join the celebrations.
I was being interviewed by Barbara Walters.
She put it to me, 'The race card was surely played'.
I answered, 'Barbara, not only did we play the race card,
we dealt it from the bottom of the deck.'

On the 'Dream Team', life had started with work as a senior lawyer. Giving moral support to Mr. Simpson was amazing. Brilliant perception of time is excellently expressed in this poem....10
Bob Shapiro was probably the man with most integrity on the Dream Team. Which is not saying much.
For 'Robert Kardashian' I should have written 'Bob Shapiro'. Actually my comment below applies to Kardashian -' A Famous Name'-not Shapiro. It gets confusing when you are writing about 3 lawyers at about the same time. When he made his comment about playing the race card, Shapiro was not really supporting Simpson. He was the lone dissident on the Dream Team, on that issue. Thanks for your comment once more.
Robert Kardashian was a loyal person.. He did support Mr. Simpson throughout the ordeal too, as you have noted. I have to ask whether or not he would have done better to stay with the law. A very perceptive comment, thanks.
