Strange Companion Poem by Stevie Taite

Strange Companion

Rating: 5.0

Strange Companion

If you shut out heart ache you will
Live less of the life that's waiting
Dare to let some joy relieve you?
Then the heart ache beats its hardest

Pain like this; your strange companion
So don't shut it out, embrace it
When it's wakeful, it will test you
Yet its rest may grow more peaceful
