Strangers To Believe Them Friends Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Strangers To Believe Them Friends

Truth to know it lived,
Never fails to free a mind.
From adding to a list,
Of excuses to make and pick.
With this done to find,
Anytime night or day.

Denial to defend,
Never ends ongoing self deception.
Or find this too addictive to leave.
As truth to live it seldom is regretted.
Even though less will be gone to see,
Are those strangers to believe them friends.
