Whether strategically political.
Or politically strategic.
Players will remain,
Loyal to their teams.
With a doing to win over,
An opponent picked to demean.
At the pleasure of an audience.
Hoping this entertains.
And keeps them riveted to their seats.
As if viewing from a colosseum,
Lions released from their dens.
Cheering they will rip apart,
Whoever it is.
Regardless who they may be,
Democrats, Liberals or Republicans.
Just for the thrill.
And not for the benefits,
Of a way of life witnessed...
Diminishing in quality at their expense.
Welcome to the game of politics.
Advertised to be dramatic.
Full of tricks to dupe people deceived.
No different than a crap shoot,
Based upon expectations.
Long evaporating aspirations.
And efforts endeavored to delude,
The reason politicians...
Had at a time represented,
The interests of their constituents.
But those days are gone.
To have the same game played updated to betray,
The basic needs of all people.
The betterment of their quality of life.
With a doing to incite heated debates to ignite,
Profits to make and advertisers to please.
Leaving everyone taxed to their knees.
And seeing rich folks plead for votes.
For no other purpose or reason than to provoke,
Those with less...
Guaranteed more of this for them to get.
Welcome to the game of politics.
Whether strategically political.
Or politically strategic.
No one can say,
The paying for it...
Had not left them entertained.
Or gained benefit at their expense.
Without a dividend returned,
To keep acknowledged kept in their pockets.
Yet everyone can say it to admit,
Strategically the game was played well!
And the 'theatrics' dramatic!
