Three years consecutive droughts
Little harvests some without
Global warming wreaking havoc
Farming becoming ad hoc

Met our Member of Parliament
To discuss the farming predicament
On December second twenty twenty
A good meeting with solutions aplenty

Formed a cooperative
To make State assistance operative
Will harness ground water
The weather getting hotter

By May twenty twenty we will be irrigating
As usual we have some farmers irritating
So our Member of Parliament told us bluntly
That all those out of line will be delt with roundly.

I am the Cooperative Chaiman
The Member of Parliament will be Ex-Officio Chairman
There is organisational work to be done
No time to have fun
