Stronger Than Any Flower Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Stronger Than Any Flower

Your dark mystical eyes
have me weeping
in the frozen moonlight.

The snow-covered streets
are abandoned by lovers
as my heart breaks
in memories of hearing your voice
and watching sunlight nestle in your brown hair
and caress your goddess-like shoulders.

There's no way to escape
being in love with you.
I thought maybe I could behave
like a bandit on the run
and discover a secret hidden corner
of this lonely planet
where the perfume of your essence
would find it impossible to seep through,
but, alas, the fragrance of this desire
is stronger than any flower
I have yet encountered.
