Stumble Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Stumble

You've run from me
& I've chased,
Circling round and round
Falling into my glass.
You've danced on my lips
& I've drunk with anticipation.
My throat burns with desire
Your laugh echoing down
my throat.
You've given me something
to appreciate
The way you've danced
to the center of my chest.
Your feet have turned to fire
& it spreads through my body.
When my glass is empty
I'll soon stumble.
