It has been ten years since we parted,
We're still broken-hearted.
It's hard not to think of you then,
Hard to forget you either.
Your lone tomb a thousand-mile away (- a covered furrow) ;
There's no one for me to tell of my sorrow.
Were we to meet again,
We couldn't reconize one another -
Dusts all o'er my face,
My hair is frost laced.

At night, I dreamt I'd suddenly returned to my hometown;
By the window small,
You were combing your hair.
Looking at each other, we didn't speak at all;
Only thousands of teardrops did fall.
I know that year after year still,
My heart-wrenching place will be that special space:
Upon the night
With bright Moon-light
At the short-pines hill.
