Subject On Which I'Ve Not Written Poem by gershon hepner

Here’s a subject on which I’ve not written
yet.
There’s a man who rules the radio waves, no Briton,
set
on finding out if there’s a topic I’ve
got
no poem on. So long as I’m alive
there’s not,
but once I’m gone think only this of me.
There’s
a KU radioscholar in SC
who cares
about my poems. If I write a Schubert
book,
could I perhaps excite him more than Rupert
Brooke?

Inspired by Alan Chapman, of KUSC, and the Schools of Music of USC and Colburn, who responded to two poems that I sent him today in the course of our cyberengagement on the topic of Joe DiMaggio, Arthur Miller and Marilyn Monroe by writing:

Eventually I'll find a subject about which you've never written a poem.
