Subordinate To The Music Poem by Etienne Charilaou

Subordinate To The Music

A sparkle of laughter like a musical emanation of Joy comes suddenly forth from a group whose upturned faces are lit by a 4-dazzle array of stars - gravitationally bound suns that are partners in a seemingly endless ballet.

A high, cascading waterfall spills thrillingly from a great height;
the nearby forest is speckled with eastward flights of giant butterflies - their iridescent blues shimmer over the green canopy.

Silver gossamer veils of air-jelly fish, delicate and floating gently on the breezes, are borne over shocking flower seas complex in colour - an unimaginably rich palette.

Some beaches' sand grains are vastly outweighed by tiny diamonds;
adjacent stones are mostly emeralds, rubies, turquoises and garnets.

Blue skies are fraught with white moons of varying size, a not-to-remote ringed planet is poised in a corner, and daytime blizzards of fiery meteors are frequent.

Yet a terrible heaviness pervades - at a remove a black hole gathers unto itself all nearby matter and light. The future is bleak for this pretty planet.

But while the suns shine a rainbow is held in place perpetually over the falls, and in crystalline abodes an enchanting melody unfolds.

I can hear these lines in a soft lilting voice, I can see the pictures like great camera-work by experts, and in these lines the melody of transparent waters plays - your poem is so lovely. Thank you for presenting us with this!
