Such indecency


The society is very cruel
it doesn't augur well
the ladies always suffer
but can offer no resistance

it has been observed
since ages, they are cursed
for any incidences, they are blamed
ousted from home and externed

for baby child's birth, she has been taken to task
for dowry, she has the bad start
for everything she is put to hardship
where shall she go and weep?

her heart is raging with an anger!
she has been subjected to a hunger
she is not treated well
she has only woes to tell

we respect her as a mother
we adore our sister
but turn hostile to somebody's daughter
we even kidnap, rape and even murder

such indecency must stop
and they should be put on the top
with equal status and honor
after all she is our mother too
