Suitcase Of Memories Version 2 Poem by Paula Glynn

Suitcase Of Memories Version 2

I have traveled far and wide,
Seeing both harmony and conflict,
In every country, city and town,
Carrying a suitcase,
My camera recording all that happened,
For those ISIS fighters have to give up.

The presidents of every country have to step up,
Deals within trade unions,
Governments sending messages,
The world on their speed dial,
Guns and knives used to fight,
People of the world now seeing the light,
Where rapists and murderers,
Think they'll get away with their crimes,
But all that happens in they do time,

As floods flatten communities,
Hurricanes move across the globe,
My suitcase full of memories,
With atomic bombs a threat,
Recording it all onto film,
My camera capturing everything I see,
With flowers in England,
Affected by the loss of the bee,
For even England have had its dramas,

Not quite as North Korea,
But worldwide events sometimes being,
The world of the motion picture,
Actors and actresses being characters,
They will never be in real life,
And their films often document,
World events, such at 9/11,
And the fires in Northern California,
It is all going on in my suitcase of memories.

Every boat, train, plane and car,
Time going fast, action going far,
Many to perish, but they will never be forgotten,
In my suitcase of memories,
Their presence we all cherish,
Remembrance of people in this harsh,
Beautiful world, that never stops spinning,
For what goes around will come around,
Perhaps the law of karma true,
Innocent lives to gain justice.
