Summer Poem by David Harris

Summer

Rating: 5.0

The sun’s finger,
drifts through my window everyday.
It warms the room
and the person sitting there.

He stands by the window
looking out at the world
with joyous voices
hailing summer fair.

All the flowers
in the garden
sparkle the day
with colour there.

There are no tears
of sorrow,
only laughter and joy
knowing summer is here.

The world seems alive
with song and colours
coming from here and there
now that summer is here.

The throes that winter brought
have vanished with the sun.
Little birds greet each morning
with the waking of the sun.

Really lovely summer poem that just took twenty minutes to open up and ten more for the comment portion to come up...Posted 2 poems around 1 pm today EST...It is now 9: 11 pm and since trying to get back in at 4 this is my first success. Can't read emails, poems won't come up, if you even can get page to move to let you in....You would have many more comments so could be problem with many in the US. Can't even click on one poem I wrote today to edit, it won't open...so, am happy that at least I could read your beauty..Have a nice weekend in case the site shuts down with more tech. issues..Now, here's hoping it sends after clicking on as an email wouldn't. Now 9: 14 here.....marci.xo
