Summer Going, Summer Arriving Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Summer Going, Summer Arriving

Rating: 5.0

As dusk appears
The fading light comes too soon
The days are shorter than before
And summer becomes a faded flower
No lazy long weekend to get to any festival
Or to a trip to nowhere in particular
Time to dwell into the autumn's prerequisite
For the forthcoming winter
Then, we wait for all of it once more
Like we do every year

I read this several times...it reminded me...the season summer fades as the season of life, the other summer, slowly advances. A great verse, LeeAnn.
